Reviews! Ratings! Please!

Just a semi-annual plea to ask you all once again: If you read one of my stories and enjoyed it, please go and rate it! Better still, if you could write a short review.

Please!

Reviews are the biggest thing you can do, and they really do help sell books. Also, 50 is the magic number on Amazon. Once a book goes past 50 reviews, Amazon starts to help promote it. If ten percent of my readers left positive reviews, I wouldn't have a book with less than a hundred reviews, and some would have over a thousand.

So please, when you finish an ebook, click through to the rating page and put in a rating. If you enjoyed it, I'd ask that you give it a 4 or 5 star review (for some reason, Amazon considers 3 stars a negative review, strange I know).

Thanks!
-John (your hungry author).

  1. Sorry, cant rate your right now.
It seems that I have acquired a Troll with a nasty hobby.
Every time I give a positive review, he follow up with a 1 star rating and a scathing, unrelated critique.
I have already contacted Amazon, but no reply yet.

So, please understand that I have to abstain, until the issue is solved.

  3. Hi John. I've just read your Hammer books via Kindle Unlimited and would leave a review, but I notice that in both cases I would be the first reviewer.

That could be because I got the books from Amazon.ca. So, my question to you. Would it be better for you if I went to the US Amazon site and did the review there, or will the Canadian review still help your totals?

Loved both books, btw, and will read more.

  4. I'd ask you to put it on the US site if you could, as those reviews are usually shared with all of the other stores. Plus I'm trying to hit that magical '50' on those books that we all talk about.

    Thanks!
    -John
