How many of you are into Harem type fiction?
I know the POI books are considered to be 'Harem' by some, and I can see that it sells really well.
So, how many of you would like to see me write some basic harem type stuff?
I do like harem, but it's usually an added bonus for me. Unless of course it was a sex story filled with sex sex ad more sex. I don't know if you've read any xianxia/wuxia that's recently trending... do try to read one of em I guess? Most of them have harem as a fulfillment fantasy for the readers. My reccomendation would be coiling dragon and against the gods.
I would really enjoy that. I feel like the harem type could fit into your writing style very well - as long as you keep up the story quality (the potential pit fall of the genre).
I'm not against it, but it has to serve a purpose. If it's just random women falling for the hero randomly, not my idea of fun. If it's women who really appreciate, learn to enjoy the company of, form trust with and eventually sleep/love with the hero, then go for it. Also I don't enjoy it when it's all women all the time that a character meets. Just not realistic in most scenarios. No reason a guy can't have guy friends who are just as essential, helpful, and trustworthy as the women he meets. So I guess I mean go for it if it makes sense. Just don't go to far and make a story about one guy surrounded by his 5+ women and no close guy friends on a world where it's 50% male.
